Dick Kazmaier won the Heisman in 1951, and is a member of the college football hall of fame. He never went on to play in the NFL, he elected to go back for more schooling at Harvard. Smart move for his time, as the NFL probably didn’t pay anywhere NEAR what a harvard degree would of at the time.
Mike Rozier won the Heisman in 1983 and dominated for awhile for the Oilers in the 80’s going to two Pro Bowls. He had a solid career.
Tim Brown won the Heisman in 1987 and went on to have a wonderful NFL career, and is probably going to be in the NFL Hall of Fame sooner rather than later.
Andre Ware won the Heisman in 1989 and is best known for giving Detroit a bad reputation of sucking. He was out of the league in 5 years, 3 really, as his last two years were basically getting cut.
Ty Detmer won the Heisman in 1990 and was a career backup in the NFL, staying on six teams rosters for 13 years. Gotta give credit to the guy for staying employed, lots of Heisman winners can’t do that.
