Two Hall of Famers, a Heisman Winner, and a football Legend

Charley Trippi was a hall of fame Running Back (Among other positions) for the Chicago Cardinals. This guy is a pre-50’s player who clocks in on the All 40’s team! He’s a nice pickup for the collection and leaves me with 73 Left.

Steve Van Buren was a Running Back for the Eagles. Another 1948 rookie card, this guy was also on the All 1940’s Team. Making old acquisitions is making this project feel like it’s possible to complete, which brings me to 72 men Left

John Lattner won the 1953 Heisman Trophy for Notre Dame. He went on to play briefly for the Steelers, but was a key player nonetheless. He’s a proud addition to the Heisman Collection

Pat Summerall was a kicker for the Cardinals and Giants for roughly a decade, He went on to be one of the more iconic names in NFL History as a Broadcaster for over 40 years, even being one of the main broadcasters during my childhood. I’d love to see the man make it in the Hall of Fame as a contributor, and until he does, he’s a proud part of my collection. Sadly shortly after purchasing this card. Mr. Summerall passed away. Rest in Peace Pat Summerall, your legacy will never be forgotten.
